
Recycling
NEWSPAPER, MAGAZINES and CATALOGS
Instructions: Should be commingled, stacked and tied with string or placed in PAPER grocery bags. Can include newspaper inserts. Items must be clean. Place items next to the recycle bin. Do not place in the recycle bin under bottles and cans. Due to potential litter problems please do not stack loose paper.
* NO plastic bags, pizza boxes, foil coated boxes.
GLASS, METAL, POLYCOATED PAPER, HDPE #2 PLASTIC, PETE #1 PLASTIC
Instructions: Items should be commingled and rinsed clean. Place all containers loose in your recycle bin.
GLASS:
Must be unbroken food and drink bottles only. NO: window glass, mirrors, ceramics, china, light bulbs.
METAL:
Aluminum, tin or steel food or beverage cans, aluminum foil and plates are acceptable metal items…
NO oil, paint or aerosol cans.
POLYCOATED PAPER:
Containers include milk and juice cartons and juice boxes. Should be flattened to save space.
NO juice box straws.
PLASTICS #1 through #7:
All food and beverage containers are now being recycled.
NO motor oil or pesticide containers or buckets, and no paint containers
CARDBOARD
Instructions: Must be flattened and cut into pieces no larger than 3 x 3 feet. Place ONLY uncoated, clean and dry, corrugated cardboard (alternating ridges and grooves) next to your recycle bin. Bundles may be tied with string.
